For those of you who don't know us, Breeze Bars is an all-natural energy bar company out of Boulder, CO. Started by Breeze Brown in the Fall of 2009, Breeze Bars marks a change in the way energy bars are developed , designed and produced. We hope that our real food bars are a change in taste for all of you. All of our bars are 100% Gluten, Wheat and dairy free.
Breeze Bars was started by Breeze Brown as an alternative to what we saw as many heavy, manufactured nutrition bars. Breeze started in her own kitchen making granola for the long bike rides she was doing at the time with the Without Limits Triathlon team. The granola became bars and though the team went their separate ways we at Breeze Bars have remained a strong supporter of the athletic community. We sponsor professional triathletes like Cameron Dye and Kristen Peterson as well as former National Champion cyclist Mara Abbott. Breeze and Grant race a bit too and you will see us out on the roads of Colorado and at races throughout the region.
Breeze bars are not just for professional athletes. Some of the driving forces behind the development of the bars were Breeze's sister Arielle and later Grant's nephew Jackson. Arielle was diagnosed with Celiac Disease and Breeze was amazed at the limited choices for her in terms of snacks and especially bars. With a couple adjustments Breeze Bars were ready for the Gluten Free community and have been a great hit. Back in October of 2009, breeze took it a step further in order to create a birthday present for Grant's nephew Jackson. Jackson has nut and soy allergies so the Sunbutter bar was born. No nuts, no soy and still gluten and dairy free.
