The First of Many

Flora Duffy took the win in the ITU Mazatlan Continental Cup in Mexico today. Flora powered away from the field and overcame a 15 sec penalty on the run to capture her first win of the season.

It is also the first win for the Breeze Bars U-25 Professional Triathlon Team in 2011, its inaugural season.

Flora's teammate Allen Gardner makes his professional debut tomorrow at the Nautica South Beach Triathlon in a stacked field. What a great first full race weekend of the year.

Congrats Flora!!!!

Presentin the Breeze Bars U-25 Team

On January 5th 2011, the Breeze Bars U-25 Professional Triathlon Team was presented to the world. Allen Gardner and Flora Duffy took part in a 10k Time Trial in the Cycling Studio at Boulder Center for Sports Medicine as did other members and coaches of the Apex Coaching training group. Photographer Allen Krughoff was there to take some pictures and do some interviews of the new team.

While Allen, Flora and coaches Grant and Neal suffered through some great TT efforts, Krughoff took some great shots of the team and the product that they will be using this season. Breeze Bars, Mix 1 and First Endurance on nutrition side and Oakley and Carroll Composites on the product side. The team could not be happier with how the year shaped up. To make things even better, Donovan, from Carroll, sent some custom painted wheels over. The yellow details are going to pop this season.

This is the tip of the iceberg however. Carroll will be supplying bikes to the team this season as well and the paint will be custom also, so stay on the look out for some sweet rides. You have to check out their full line of road, cross and triathlon wheels at www.carrollcomposites.com. If you like them, tell him the Breeze Bars team sent you.

It is back to training now for Allen and Flora. Their first races of the year loom in march and they want to be ready to take on the world. We hope to post a full race schedule soon.
